EFAD revamped team European Film Agencies Directors association welcomes Anamarjia Gjorgova as policy and communications manager

The European Film Agencies Directors Association (EFAD) is pleased to welcomeAnamarija Gjorgova as its new Policy and Communications Manager. With a background in public affairs, EU policy, and communications, Anamarija brings a valuable experience in the intersection of audiovisual and IP policy, technology, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication.

Based in Brussels, Anamarija will contribute to EFAD’s content and communications work, supporting the organisation’s mission to promote the independent European film and audiovisual sectors. She will be responsible for strengthening EFAD’s visibility and outreach, enhancing engagement with institutional and industry stakeholders, and ensuring that the association’s voice remains clear, consistent, and compelling across all platforms.

Anamarija Gjorgova says:

About Anamarija Gjorgova:

Anamarija Gjorgova began her career in communications, working on stakeholder engagement and the implementation of European Commission campaigns.  As a Public Affairs Consultant she focused on technology, media, and telecommunications issues. She has also undertaken a Bluebook traineeship at the Legal Service of the European Commission. Anamarija holds an advanced Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and ICT Law from KU Leuven.

EFAD (European Film Agency Directors association) is the voice of national European Film Agencies, bringing together national film and audiovisual centres from European countries. EFAD membership covers the European Union countries as well as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Norway, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Having functioned over the years as informal network, EFAD was formally established in 2014 as an international non-profit Association (aisbl) based in Brussels. The association is led by a General Secretariat, hosted and administratively managed by the Cinema and Audiovisual Centre of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
