Cin­e­matog­ra­phy Foundation Sarajevo

The Cinematography Foundation Sarajevo was founded in 2002 by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and works under the auspices of the Ministry of culture and Sports of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The main objective of the Foundation is to secure funds for stimulating, developing, and improving film creativity, film production, and entrepreneurship in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the following areas: 

  • Film production;
  • Stimulating entrepreneurship in the field of cinematography;
  • Protecting, preserving, and presenting archival and film materials;
  • Supporting the organization of film events;
  • Stimulating creators, institutions, associations and organizations in the field of cinematography;
  • Preserving and improving cultural values in cinematography;
  • Scientific-research projects in the field of cinematography ;
  • Publishing activities in the field of cinematography;
  • Education and professional development of personnel in cinematography;
  • Establishing connections, cooperation, and exchanging information and experiences with similar associations outside the Federation of BiH;
  • Adapting cinematography to technological and organizational changes, as well as the development of technical standards in audiovisual media.

Specific Objectives of the Foundation:

  • Promoting aesthetic values in all genres and disciplines of cinematography;
  • Supporting the continuity of established values in film production;
  • Supporting the education of filmmakers;
  • Encouraging innovative approaches to film art and creativity.

The Foundation's funds will be used to encourage and support the following activities:

  • Film projects of significant artistic value;
  • Script development;
  • Promotion, circulation, distribution, and screening of domestic films;
  • Protecting, preserving, and presenting film heritage;
  • International cooperation in the field of cinematography;
  • Publishing activities in cinematography;
  • Professional development in cinematography;
  • Participation in determining and implementing policies that promote the development of cinematography.
